Sorry if I'm being dense here, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

I just bought a new T440s with an HD+ non-touch 1600x900 screen. I was wondering if its possible to replace this myself with the FHD IPS 1920x1080? If so, are there any drawbacks to this?

Also, does the HD+ vs FHD make a very noticeable difference? Any opinions?

    Thanks

    Short answer; yes.

The 180p on a 14"? No. Though the IPS vs. TN might make a nice improvement. That's not a definite "yes" because there exist both very good TN's and rather poor IPS's.

One thing to check beforehand; think these series are all 30-pin bottom-right configurations, the 900p and 1080p alike. But you don't want to guess that; lookup your current lcd model with HWiNFO and verify:

Awesome! Thanks for the update. I'll give it a try and see how it turns out.
