    Hi,
My laptop accidentally discharge all the way to zero and when I charged it went all the way to 100. It was set to start charging at 20% and stop at 60%. For some reason it did it by itself. This happen twice. Is my battery ruined?
    Thanks

    Hello,

Are you referring to the charge options in the ThinkVantage Power Manager?

Discharging the laptop to 0% or charging it to 100% won't ruin the battery. It is made for this. Continual practice of this however, will wear the battery down more, but it won't kill it.

As for why it didn't obey the charging rules you've set, I don't know. Make sure you've got the latest Power Manager installed.
