    Hey guys,

Just got my replacement t500 Lenovo ThinkPad in the mail this morning... so far so... I'm dissapointed.

The display is pristine and I haven't really played with it too much so I don't know what kind of performance it has.

What I did notice what this...

    ?

It has hybrid graphics and the ATI ones look like the picture on the right, if I go into "battery saver" and use the intergrated GPU it looks fine (pic on the left)... so here's my question.

    What can cause this?

You think its a driver issue?

    Hardware?

I'm going to do a clean install (backup in progress as can be seen) and see if it continues but I've never seen anything like this so I kind of want to know if anyone has experienced anything like this before?

tl;dr Hybrid GPU freaking out on my new laptop, see right.

    Picture related.

Ive had my W500 (T500) for a while now and noticed (after using think recovery) that the graphics drivers don't properly install, I spent hours going through my driver folders to reinstall it manually. You probably have this exact same issue, find the 3650 driver and reinstall it. Also you can go into BIOS and make it only use dedicated to isolate that problem.

I just noticed that the ATI Icon is up on the right screen, it may be a hardware issue if it indeed recognizes the card.
