I'd like to hear about this as well. I just ordered a T500 yesterday, with the LED. I'm hoping it's fantastic...time will tell :p

I am very interested in this too. There are no side by side pictures and the T500 is not in stores so it is very difficult to compare the two. Also, I can't find any technical reviews for the T500 LED, at least not like the review of the WSXGA+ CCFL screen on notebookcheck where they measured contrast and brightness.

I have read other users' opinions on their T500 LED stating that they would never go back to the CCFL screens again. Is the LED screen really that amazing? It seems like the only visual benefit of LED is a brighter screen.

Pnanasnoic (my fingers kept trying to type out Panasonic :) ) - please do share your impressions of your LED screen when you get it. Maybe a comparison photo? I would be so appreciative!
