    what is this thingy? it's 8 boxes, 2x4, and its magnetic

    I wonder how many people will open their T510s and look for that thing you're asking about... a picture would help a lot.

    you can barely see it if i take a picture...its very faint you have to look very closely to be able to see the 2x4 thingy

    this thing...whatever is under it is magnetic. the cover of the speaker is magnetic, huh?

    It's most likely the magnetic switch that switches the display off when you close the lid.
