Hey all,
I have a 14.1" t60 with integrated graphics, 1024x768 screen, no bluetooth, and no integrated Wireless Broadband.
Is the SXGA+ screen a direct swap, or will the cables not work? In other words, can I purchase just the screen, remove the old one, and plug-and-play? Will there be compatibility problems with my graphics or other components? Would I need new drivers?
Thanks
Sean

I think you might be in for a fair amount of work.
This post details a guys quest to get a SXGA+ display into his x61s. He eventually did it, but it required soldering a new connector, a hacked BIOS, and a lot of work.
If you do go this route, make sure you pick up a IPS Flexview replacement, otherwise you are putting way too much effort in for too small of a gain. -
As far as I know there's no 14.1" IPS screen, though there was a rumor of one. I believe a direct swap is possible, but I'm not 100% positive. You can post this over on ThinkPads.com. They'll know for sure, since they do much more modding over there.

You're right. The IPS Flexview was only offered on the 15" UXGA T60P. My mistake.

15" SXGA+ is an IPS screen as well.

The reason why erik needs to solder his own connector is because Lenovo doesn't have one that can fit both the X61 tablet and the X61s. -
thanks zephir, glad to see it's going to be simple. Can you give me a link to this display connector i need? I can't seem to find exactly what you're talking about.
Is it the inverter? Will the inverter be compatible with both as well?
Thanks,
Sean
t60 14.1"modification - swap XGA screen for SXGA+ directly?
