The t61 15.4 with the NVS 140m is available from Lenovo for a base price of 1010.80!

Actually, 1064. 1010.80 is an EPP discount of around 5%.

Strange that it is lower than the T61 14" 140M base price. Bigger screen bigger standard battery. Sure it's a little less portable, but I don't think it should be priced less. OK with me :D

I noticed that the t61 15.4 with the NVS 140m and the t61p cannot have their warranties upgraded. I am guessing this is just a system glitch though. The protection service can be added.

Overall, they're charging about $60 more for the discrete GPU compared to the same configured notebook with integrated graphics.

It also has UWB like the T61p.

I am not 100% sure it really has UWB. I think they cut and paste some of the page from the t61p page. Wait and see if it actually stays there. Both the new t61 and the t61p have the missing warranty option.

I just ordered two of them and it refers to UWB 3 times in the parts list, so I think it really does have it:
42X1455 SBB GEO LBL US,WLAN,BLT, UWB
    42V8635 SBB 15WSXGAW/BTW/OWWANW/ UWB
    42V8600 SBB UWB ANTENNA
