Not at all sure what is happening. It can read and boot a cd/dvd just fine. But if I try to burn a cd or dvd it just craps out on me. I have ruined 4 dvds so far.

Are there programs that can test my burner to fined out if its ruined before I rma the drive for a new one?

Well, I ran a couple of tests using neros cd/dvd speed test and it threw mutiple error messages both reading it and writting to it.

I called lenovo and they are shipping me a brand new one. Should have it on wednesday.

I knew there was a reason for the 3 year extended warranty and replacement plan.
