I just use nice'n clean anti-static cleaning wipes for electronic equipment that I picked up at walmart. They work well for cleaning your LCD as well. But they are just isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), so you could just buy that and use a soft cloth....

i use monitor wipes.
-
just use water and a rag. soft touch plastics dont like anything harsh
-
I was going to use isopropanol but I wasnt sure if it would damage the plastic or not so if you guys have used it i guess it doesnt affect it
-
If you are nervous about it, just try a little bit in a little area....

IPA should be fine...

The t61 lid is made from recycled plastic (to slash costs), whereas in the past the lid was made from magnesium and had a special finish to resist scuffs and fingerprints. The new ones probably will look bad after being used a while unless you pamper it.

Shes got a lot of good posts, but like Johnny said...lots of questionable content/opinions at times.

So, what's exactly in between a troll and a fanboy?
This is what the TABook says about "Case Material":
Top: Super-Elastic PolyCarconate (SEPC); Bottom: Carbon-Fiber Reinforced Plastic
I don't know if SEPC is more closely related to an F-22 or newspaper mulch, but when I tried the "lid press test" at my campus store, it felt equivalent to the magnesium lid on my T42p.
For comparison, the T60:
14.1": magnesium composite in top cover, CFRP bottom cover; 15": CFRP in top/bottom
And the T43:
Magnesium composite in the top cover, titanium-reinforced CFRP in bottom cover -

Someone once posted a thread referring to Bunny-san using "she."
Well, if anyone is interested, my 15" T60p's lid easily attracts fingerprints as well, and they are hard to get rid of. -
Here's how I deal with the fingerprint gremlins. A clean T-Shirt, dampen with lukewarm water. Lightly rub on the fingerprints and quickly dry with a clean cloth. Works awesome both on the outside and inside of the lid. -
