is it normal for there to be a slight clicking sound whenever the computer is read or writing to the hard drive? b/c whenever the Device Access indicator light (the one that looks like a cylinder) blinks, the computer makes a slight clicking noise. Its not that bad but if theres some way to decrease the noise I wouldnt mind that either

well it depends on how "slight" that clicking noise is... you say its not too bad.. well are you straining to hear it. most of my computers have made some sort of noise when accessing the HDD. but if the noise starts to get louder then i would call tech support. remember WD drives have a problem when they are going to die soon that they start clicking alot. then eventually all they do is click and they stop loading data while doing it.

How about occasional rackity noises when you're using the dvd/cd reader? Sometimes smooth but occasional rackity noises.
