I have been looking into either the t61p or t61 series and Im over 50 and dont want to opt for the higher resolution screens due to small fonts. I want a decent screen which seems to be the big debate among many people looking at lenovo. Is there a better choice screen quality wise and battery life between these two machines and I want long battery life with the best power to run any appts.I want it all like most but for owners out there what do you reccomend as the best processor choice vs harddrive speed vs cache to achieve good battery life with optimum power and a good screen for photo viewing. Also even though flexview isnt offered on these two machines is there anything close. Thanks for any help.

The Flexview was only offered in SXGA+ and UXGA resolutions anyway. There's nothing else really like it. They do come up on eBay. Many came with three year warranties so a lot are still under warranty. The sellers forum on ThinkPads.com is another good place to find them. Most laptop screens aren't that great as compared to desktop LCDs. If you want something with long battery life, I'd suggest something like the Dell D630 with the modular battery.
