Is it trying to get windows updates? I have had this problem before, go on to the windows update site and switch it to windows update instead of microsoft update. That's the only suggestion I have, if that doesn't work then try something else ;)

I used to have a problem like this with my desktop, try running hive mind cleanup download link.

Its just doing that because it's trying to shutdown something in the background. It could be a windows update or any kind of program.

This happens because of the webcam software, download the new driver from lenovo.com and install it

Could also be the Intel AMT drivers. Mine had that problem. If your T61 has AMT inside, you have to remove the drivers and disable the thing.
