I'm having trouble with an auxillary monitor.
If I plug the monitor in to the t61p both screens go blank.
If I plug the monitor out the t61p returns.
If I boot with the monitor in the socket, the external monitor works fine until vista is well into the booting sequence and then the monitor screen goes blank.

You can use Presentation Director FN+F7 or the BIOS to select how you want to use an external, though the BIOS will be more static.

Well here's the fastest fix in the world!
After I posted, I remembered the Microsoft updated my system this morning and there was a "new" Nividia driver loaded. The trouble is.... it didn't handle multiple monitors.
The was fixed by rolling out the new driver and rebooting. I am now using my external monitor.
If you are a t61p owner and use an external monitor. Avoid the Sept Nvidia driver from microsoft at all costs. -
Optomos, I have been using this monitor for a week. Everything worked well until this new microsoft driver. Since I used the monitor this morning, I know the bios was appropriate and so was the presentation manager.
The only difference was new MS Nvidia driver. It won't work on a t61p with multiple monitors. The old driver works fine so you have a side by side comparision. -
So you were using Windows to manage your monitors? I tried downloading that driver to and it said that it did not apply and would not install, weird.
Ahh, ok. -
I pretty much operate my system as if the lenovo stuff isn't there.

I dont blame you
Im glad you posted it since I know I'll be getting call on this issue -
I think the driver was dated Oct 08 07...
Everything will appear to work fine except the External monitor.
