    Hello, i got a question. Im interested in buying a 14inch t61p, but at the website it says the dvd burner will make the wait 3-4 weeks. Is it possible to buy a aftermarket one, say like from newegg? any info would be thanks. :)

    When I ordered my computer, the order was supposed to be delayed due to the DVD burner. But, shipped only one week after ordered. May be I was lucky.

    The ones from NewEgg won't fit, they're too big height wise. Could try ebay.

    Just find a 9.5mm DVD burner on eBay.
    They're pricey though, start around $100.

    wow, thanks for all the help. i ended up buying the dvd burner through ibm. im on the waiting list now.. hope it comes before christmas :D
