I've been wanting a thread like this! I don't have everest, but I can tell you my CPU temps go from about 50C to 60C depending on load.

I always run the computer in balanced mode when plugged in to keep the CPU throttling. This helps to keep the laptop cool, and also to conserve power.

    The T61p only?
How's it any special from any other T61?
Yes, it has the hot and powerfull GPU, but it doesn't affect the whole temp scheme by much by just being there, other than during gaming or other graphics intensive tasks.

Besides, if you wanna compare the CPU temps, the very least you should mention the conditions and settings at what the temp readings are being taken.
Like ambient temps, power state, processor speed, load or idle, the test utility if under load, presence of a cooling pad etc, etc, etc...

Without providing such details a comparison would be meaningless.

aww you're gonna hurt vostrouser's feelings now. Poor guy has a 20%less powerful cpu, 2mb less cache, intergrated video and all that in a big bulky case. :p
