I checked my parts list because of jooeeee(sp?)'s post about the samsung vs lg screens, and it turns out my t61p has a t60 screen! WTF is all i can say!

part number is 42T0329 which i searched on lenovo and is apparently a t60 part. so, i should be entitled to a t61p screen, like i paid for, right? would it be worth pursuing in your opinion? ( will i notice a difference by replacing the screen)

and finally, crucial's memory app says that i can run pc2 6400, but if i recall correctly these notebooks run pc2 5300. any clarification?

    thanks in advance

The screen in my T61p is the same. I'm not sure what makes one think that the screens necessarily should have changed from the T60 to the T61 though.

The T60 and T61 share several parts. There's nothing unusual about that.
