I see that the T61 has a new option to get the t9500. The only difference I see between these processors is that the t9500 is 100Mhz faster than the t9300. Is that the only difference between the 2? Does the t9500 run cooler, architecture difference? Why does the t9500 cost so much more than the t9300? I am willing to pay the money for a t9500 upgrade if it is warranted. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Manufacturers tend to charge excessive prices for top of the line hardware, so that is why it costs so much more.
I'd recommend you stick with the t9300, I believe you'll find it is everything you need and more. The additional cost of the t9500 for just 100Mhz is just not worth it. -
Unless you're doing something really intensive and every second matters, otherwise T9500 is really a joke of Intel.

I wonder how much $$$ they make from that 100Mhz?
-
A lot, since the majority people who don't much about CPU and stuff tend to buy things that are more expensive with higher specs (even 100Mhz)
-
jooooeee, something like 2$/Mhz.
