    So I bought a T61 in the summer for college...but it turned out that I never really needed to bring it around anywhere...and if I did need to bring it somewhere I always brought my AC with me b/c there was an outlet available most of the time. Of course in the dorms I keep it on AC as well.

    Yet, the few times that I have needed to take my laptop to class...I have to say it absolutely sucks. I was appalled...the performance is miserable! It freezes on me randomly when I'm typing notes in OpenOffice, it can't open VLC Media Player without severe lag, in fact, everything is slow...and those aren't even intensive programs! It's a basic Word program jeez -.-;;

    And the worst part is that if it freezes...nothing works. I can't even open up Task Manager or restart/shut down. Basically I have to force a shut down and I hate doing that...

    Is it my battery...? Should I try a clean install? Honestly I don't feel like doing one =/
