when would thinkpad make laptop with one black seamless aluminum body, coming with ofcourse legendary keyboard and the high sensitive multi-touch touchpad.

I want a thinkpad that looks business like and elegant.

I want a thinkpad that can stand 80mph accident, because thats the speed i used to drive

I want a thinkpad that can last at least eight hours of intense work, to accommodate my full day of work

I want a thinkpad that weights less than 2kg so i can handle it by one hand.

I want a thinkpad that has decent speaker so i can listen to news on the road.

I want a thinkpad that has super fast face detecting security. It has to work faster than typing "hello"

I want to pay around $2400 for that thinkpad

So can you do that ?

I'm wondering how those solid aluminum laptops from a certain manufacturer will look when dropped.
Plastic dents but aluminum might dent and warp in shape. Let's see the reports...

You can have a report from me.
While using Thinkpads in private, I'm using Dell at work.
Some time ago I had a Latitude D600-1 with an aluminium display cover (the D600-2 uses plastic).
I dropped it on the ground (fiberglass-PVC-composite) from 2 meters height by accident, which it hit with the side.
The metal display cover was bent but it did a good job at protecting the display. The plastic body was fractured at multiple positions, but the notebook was still running and working.

I think if you had an accident at 80mph the last think you would think about is your thinkpad, that is if you can think anymore :p

Aluminum? No thanks. Talk to Apple. I’m very happy with the feel/coating of my current ThinkPad. Would just be nicer if it didn’t wear off so readily at the corners.
