    okay guys... time has finally come...
    thinkpad HUGE sell....

    now i just have to decide whether to get T43p or T41 tablet... (because they are having 26% discount...)

    what would you guys suggest?

    i am currently have a compaq presario 15.4 inch notebook (1.5 G PM. 9200 64M) is T43P way superier than my current one? if so, i will get T43p, else i will jump for x41T. any commons?

    Whats wrong with your current box? Sure the T will be better built, but is it worth buying a new notebook. I would suggest the T60. They are offering $200 rebate on certain models.

    I agree with Zaz, the T43 isn't a big enough jump technology wise from what you have. I'd look at T60, if you can stand the GMA950 or X1300, you can get one for well under $1500.
    If you need to spend less, I'd stay away from the T43p, you'll spend a lot to get that FireGL, and if you are considering it against something that doesn't have it, I assume you don't need it. I can't actually find pricing for T43p right now though, so I'm not sure the price difference between the 2.
    Why are you comparing a T43p and X41 tablet? Just interested in trying one?

    i think a notebook either be 1) big/ desktop replacement. 2) light, use it as a notebook. But i don't really feel like spending 1599 for a notebook that can't run windows vista (not at all i guess). however, seem to me that all tablets' price are pretty high (i guess that is due to that touch screen?).
