    thinkpad T61 dock, can I use the dock for my old T42?

    I got a question with respect to the dock.

    Is the dock for T42 also compatible with T61? If so, I could save at least 160 bucks from my pocket.

    Anyone has some experience?

    Lenovo says the T4x dock is not compatible with the T6x series but it would be interesting to hear from anyone who has tried it nonetheless.

    FYI, if you do buy another dock then don't buy it from Lenovo... it's way cheaper at most resellers or on ebay.

    Always check eBay to buy the dock. I got the advanced mini dock for the T6x series for only $100.
