    Hi All,

    Somebody told me that thinkpads have always been designed by japanese. Is it true?

    Well, the Thinkpad design was inspired (designed by a Japanese company too) by a Japanese luncbox apparently. If you want one, I would recommend one upfront. ope tis answers your question :)

    The Wikipedia article on ThinkPads states that their "design [was] inspired by the Shōkadō bentō, a traditional black-lacquered Japanese lunch box."
