hi, i have the thinkpad x300 running vista sp1.

i have a problem when; after i use my touchpad scroll function, the move back to using my mouse, the scroll wheel becomes slow. it goes from; 3 line per scroll to, 1 line per scroll.

anyone one else having this problem?
    isolated to the x300?
    will lenovo fix this?
are they aware of the problem?

Sounds like it's a software issue, so it might be isolated to your particular machine.

Did you start having this problem as soon as you got the laptop, or did it crop up recently? You could try using system restore to change the settings back to how they were before the problem appeared, if that's the case.

FWIW, I don't have this problem (but I have a T400 and primarily run Gentoo Linux).

Actually the same thing happens to me occasionally. I have the mouse set to scroll 10 lines, but sometimes it becomes 1 line, so it feels especially sluggish to me. I haven't narrowed it down to anything, and I can't replicate it by using the trackpoint, so...

this is a new laptop, the problem came with first usage. i usually have Opera and Internet explorer, running. not sure if thats the cause.

i think the trackpoint driver perhaps?

i did not install setpoint software. i just plug and play.

    the mouse is logiteh MX400.
