Both of them have 13.3" LED . I've never bought a dell product before and currently I own a thinkpad x60. So I have no idea about xps series' quality but I have heard lots of quality issues of dell.

    Should I go m1330 or just get a sl300?

I personally think you're better off with the X60! :)

My wife got a m1330 after owning a T42 and I though that the m1330 looked like a decent replacement on paper. But it is a horrible notebook. I can't see how it got so many positive reviews. The glossy screen is low quality, the keyboard is amazingly mushy, it's frustratingly slow with Vista, even with many of the CPU intensive stuff disabled (it's much slower than my T42 running XP). It's also not really that small, so I don't see a reason to go with a Dell over a Thinkpad. In fact, her purchase of this Dell has convinced me to just look at Thinkpads for my next system.

Or, if you want it mostly for work, you might go with the 14.1" T61, which is only a bit heavier than the SL300 with a larger screen.

    thanx for helping
I would like to get a t61 if it has a led option since the x60's lcd is really confused me and its battery dead after one year normal usage. How is T61's lcd quality ?
