thinkpad t410 Left Button not very sensitive

I recently bought a thinkpad t410 to replace my t60. I basically took the hd from my t60 and put it in the t410. I haven't been that impressed with the t410 so far. It is a little faster but not noticeable that much. Mainly the biggest difference is the better and louder speakers. But the volume buttons you have to push down hard to get it to work. Also have to buy a usb hub to have more usb ports on the right side.

My biggest problem so far is the left click button above the touchpad. When I scroll and the button is held down, sometimes it pauses scrolling. It's like you have to push the button down and use a little more force after that the whole time or it's not clicked anymore. It's frustrating, I have had to restart scrolling plenty of times. I didn't have this problem with my t60. Is there anything I can do about this? Also another problem i have is a lot of times when scrolling or even doing other stuff it seems like the cursor and pc freezes for a second. Again t60 never did this. I wonder if there is another thinkpad model I can get that doesn't have these problems. Maybe a thinkpad t400 would work better

Anything I can do to fix the left click sensitivity? Is it a t410 problem in general or just a rare problem? Thinking the freezing thing might be caused by the intel speedstep setting in bios.
