    Hi all

    Is there a way to monitor the system and cpu temperature from within windows?

    Google thinkpad temperature and it should come up with a link to a program hosted off sourceforge that someone made. It also controls the fans.

    What does 'from within windows' mean? If you want it without installing an outside program, I don't know of any way to do that. You also didn't mention what computer you have. For pentium Ms, there are a number of programs that monitor temperature. The best I know of is probably NHC (notebook hardware control, i believe), and there is the thinkpad fancontrol program dietcokefiend mentioned.

    If you have a core duo, I'm not sure. There are probably some programs now, maybe NHC works with them as well.
