    Hi,

Excuse me for my english but I'm a french student and I'm going to study in Canada next year.

I'm browsing for a laptop and I'm very interesting in the new lenovo T420 but as I already have a MS Windows 7 licence is it possible to purchase a T420 under dos licence (without W7) like in the US lenovo store?

link: DOS Laptops - Computers with MS-DOS - DOS Notebooks - Shop at Lenovo.com

Or is there a mean tu purchase a US Thinkpad Laptop in Canada?

Look at lapstars.de offer, they offer discount for people studying/uni workers/etc. and offer also models with DOS.

I will probably today order there x220.

I've already seen Laptopstars.de before, but their price are more expensive than the lenovo canadian online store (especially the student store).

I've send a mail to lenovo canada ([email protected]) but I didn't receive any answer.

I dont think there is anyway to order from the US store and ship to canada directly from Lenovo, depending on how much you save it might make sense to use a forwarding service???

I know that in the past the price difference was huge, and if that is still the case, with the strong Canadian, Euro currency it might be a better bargain...

Or is it possible to purchase these lenovo (without W) in USA with a "mail adress" like MYUS or something like that?

What about the price, tax ....? Is it sure, affordable and profitable?

The best will be a canadian thinkpad without os...

I received an answer from lenovo ([email protected]) and the answer is no. This is a unique offer for the US citizen.

But i called a rep and he said he can give me a rebate (with the "student rebate") because i don't want W7.

What is the EPP? because I've seen the access code on Redflag and the prices are very interesting. Is the friend Epp open?

EPP is open to the friends and family of current Lenovo/IBM staffs.

In different countries there are different rules to whom can use EPP, for example in Australia you don't have to be a Lenovo employee (but need to know a Lenovo Employee).
