I have an x21 that seems to be clocked at 291, although as far as I know the P3 in it should be at 700, I checked for options in the bios, but couldn't find anything useful. Would a bios flash help? Or maybe just an overclocking utility to get it where it should be? Help! 700 is slow enough! Thanks in advance.

If you are on battery it could be SpeedStep slowing you down.

On AC you should get full speed.

Check your CPU speed and settings in BIOS setup as well.
