What happens when you plug another known USB 2.0 device into that same port? Do you have the appropriate drivers for the Samsung Tab 2 loaded into the X61T?

Make sure the USB plug is securely inserted. Sometimes, if not all the pins have good contact, you do get this message.

it happens in all ports , no other devices do this. the tab works in my i5 laptop. its like there is not enough power getting to it.

if i plug my external hd in it reads it and puts in onto the usb 2.0 controller, but when I plug in my tab 2 it puts it on the usb 1.1 controller. how do I force it to read from the usb 2.0 controller?
all ports are usb 2.0 and work that way when I plug any other device that is 2.0 into them except for the tab
