    Hello,

Does anyone know why my T41p might beep three times while using it? It's happened twice. The computer is running fine and I'm just doing generic email and web browsing, and the computer beeps three times. Nothing else happens and I can't figure out why it beeped.

    Thanks for any ideas.

Did the power cord get bumped or removed momentarily?

Nope, it just beeped three times. Nothing was moved. The battery is also locked in tight as usual, and I didn't get any sort of flash or the power attached/unattached beep tone. The first time I suspected that I'd visited a website that IE7 didn't like and it was trying to warn me or something, but this time it was pretty much unrelated to anything I was doing (as far as I could tell).

If the power cord was plugged in to your laptop it is possible that a power surge or / a dip in power occured for a split second and your laptop thought it lost power connection.

Switching from battery to line power usually goes "bee-boop", not beep... beep... beep.
