    with current discount, I can get u330 for $908 and x61 for $798. the difference after tax could get stretched to $120.

    price doesn't matter much actually cuz I will have to buy an external optical for x61 which adds the cost.

    I know all the pros and cons for each machine. Just torn inside badly cuz I have to place the order by 09/02 or the deal will be gone.

    any suggestions?

    U330:

    Pros:

    - New Montevina platform
    - DDR3 Memory
    - Switchable graphics
    - ThinkPad APS
    - HDMI port


    X61:

    Pros:

    - More portability
    - Should be built a little tougher than the U330
    - TrackPoint (although not everyone likes it)
    - ThinkVantage Power Manager
