In my UPS tracking, it says it departed from location: HK.

    Does that mean Hong Kong?

Mine was actually just delivered today...

Shipped out on the 17th (according to UPS) with the same message you see. It eventually said "Picked Up" from HK, but didn't change at all until this morning when a few more hops came up including "Out for Delivery." From there the only step left was "Delivered." Basically, just pay attention to the scheduled delivery, it should come on that day around 10:30 AM local time.

It says Departure Scan from a location 30min from my place. Does that mean Out for Delivery?

From my experience, it's only out for delivery when the UPS site update says "Out for Delivery." The "Departure Scan" for me has always meant that it's going to a different distribution center. That's at least how it's worked for me. I know UPS always go through the same site in my area, which luckily for me is about 10 minutes away from me. If you've received a package that said "Out for Delivery" from the city that it's currently in before, then maybe the computer system is a bit lagged behind, and it's on its way! This is how mine came to me starting from when it arrived in the US.

Louisville, KY, US Import Scan, Departure Scan
Linthicum, MD, US Arrival Scan, Departure Scan
Laurel, MD, US Arrival Scan, Out for Delivery, Delivery

Laurel MD is my local site, and that's where everything go through for UPS in my area.

It now came to a distribution center that is 15min. haha

But it still doesn't say Out for Delivery.

    It says Destination Scan.

I am waiting for my T60 too. Unfortunately mine is held up in customs. UPS claims that it will be here by the 22nd. I can't wait for my T60 ws.

Are customs done in the local facility (one closest to my place)?

I thought they do it as soon as it hits U.S. soil.

I think it happens at the packages entry point into the US. This is the last update I have.

LOUISVILLE, KY, US 12/20/2006 4:32 P.M. THE SHIPMENT IS BEING HELD BY BROKERAGE FOR REASONS BEYOND UPS' CONTROL

I just hope that it does get delivered by Friday.

It's 4:46pm right now and it's 10-15min away from my place. There is no Out for Delivery thing yet. I am so anxious and it's driving me crazy!

UPS delivers as late as 6:00PM normally, right?

In my area (New York City) UPS can come as late as 7 or 8 pm.

UPS also delivers pretty late here. The latest I've gotten a package was around 8pm, but I lived in a place that was on the way home for the driver, so he'd sometimes drop them off after work. :p

However, in my experience, if the package arrives after about 8AM, it's not going out for delivery that day.

Color me impressed. I guess the employees around here are a bit less..dedicated, you could say. ;)

Congratulations, and enjoy, I know I did! :)
