Im in love... with the trackpoint. From the start i thought it was horrible, but now im married with it. And in the search for a new laptop this is required.
Can anybody tell me what other brands have trackpoints? ive heard that some dell and some sony laptops have them as well, but cant really find which ones. Its hard to tell from the pictures most of the time.

Also if this is not the correct forum, im sorry. but i had no idea where else to post this.

I don't know about the current HP trackpoints, but the Dell trackpoints are nowhere near as good as ThinkPad trackpoints. I would generally not buy anything but a TP if you are specifically looking for a good trackpoint experience.

As well as HP and Dell, Toshiba and some Samsung business lines also sell notebooks with Trackpoints too. But I doubt they would be as good, while many try to imitate the trackpoint I yet to find a brand that matches the ThinkPads in terms of feel and usability. I used to have a Dell Latitude E6410 and had to use the touchpad instead since the "Trackstick" was unresponsive and simply was horrible to use, I wasn't surprised to see it finish in last place on a recent article about pointing sticks.

I've had Dells and HPs with pointing sticks. Neither of them have the same feel as the ThinkPad TrackPoint.

Some Fujitsu notebooks also have "their own version" of the ThinkPad trackpoint, but they are rubbish. Not even close to the real TP trackpoint.
