Can someone tell me how to fix the trackpoint buttons from double clicking? I installed the latest synaptics driver and the buttons above the touchpad double click and I only want to have a single click.

Try to roll-back drivers (that means install older version of synaptics drivers than the current you have). If that doesnt help try to remove synaptics drivers and see how it works with windows default drivers. If you continue to have such problems contact Lenovo, I had similar problems+keys VBN registered trackpoint click on mine so I got replacement keyboard issued by IBM.
Hope that sheds some light into your problem.
Also, double check all touchpad and trackpoint settings to make sure no fancy multi touch gestures and optimizations are enabled to make sure you line out the real cause of the problem more easily. -
The 15.2.20 synaptics driver works the best on my Thinkpad - the ULTRANAV driver just has horrible scrolling. I just can't seem how to configure the trackpoint buttons because under the settings the left button is set as primary and the right is set as secondary. There has to be some settings overlapping, if someone could help me please I would really appreciate it!
trackpoint buttons are double-clicking-synaptics
