    i have a thinkpad x300.

and i frequently having trouble when using the trackpoint. when clicking or doing things. my palm will often brush the trackpad, causing the cursor to jump from places to places.

it seems that the thinkpad x300 is not the only one having this problem - by looking at the design (of T400 or T500).

    - is there a hotkey that i dont know of that turn off the trackpoint?

    - any of you guys having the same problem as me?

    - what do you guys use to alleviate the problem?

    - any comment?

because while i know its possible to turn either the trackpoint or the trackpad off in the windows' mouse properties. it is not convinient; as i usually want to switch back and forth, between these input devices.

Fn+F8 is the shortcut for mouse properties. That is the fastest way I know.

You can disable the trackpad in the BIOS as well.
