    hey guys i have a t400---and was wonderin

    does your trackpoint leave a mark on your screen??1

    Sadly this is a common problem. You can try different caps or just clean your clean with a soft damp cloth. The biggest problem is usually grease from your finger (you should change caps every couple of months to minimize this problem).

    Ahh bugger.Another issue i was haivng with my trackpoint:

    it seems to just kinda keep going sometimes...it wanders when my finger is no longer on it...

    the wandering, afaik, is a common issue.
    a mere touch to the trackpad will take care of it

    Is this a common problem with the newer Thinkpads? I'm waiting for a T500, is this a known problem on this model?

    Are you sure the cursor "wandering" isn't just the TrackPoint recalibrating?

    i think it may be the calibration thing...it wanders for a second, then stops..

    Yep, sounds like recalibration. It's perfectly normal, and it's actually a very good thing.
