cool! i got it today and installed. it works like a charm. i didn't know Transcend company was located quite close to my house in Orange, CA. :)

after installing the memory, the palmrest part seems to be more securely tightened, no more creaking sound! i love it.

i noticed the same phenomenon, after I installed my own ram(crucial branded) my wrist rest seemed to feel tighter(probably because i put some elbow grease into it)

Most of the different manufacturers out there make their ram with samsung chips anyways....I've always had good experiences with crucial(since 1995) so I usually wait around till they're on sale.

one more surprise: i didn't know that Mitsubishi has been the manufacturer of the plastic used on thinkpads! if i have time i think i'm gonna take my whole laptop apart and see what they have inside. ;)

Ah don't do that!! You will want to kill yourself trying to put back everything together unless you document every piece while taking it apart. It's just easier taking the hardware maintainance guide and looking up the part numbers.

    ---------------

The memory should present no issues.
