I just made the upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista, and it seems to be a good step up. I am, however, experiencing some minor problems which I feel can be rather easily addressed (If I weren't sleep deprived and time pressed).

The thing I'd like to fix is the scroll function from the touchpad, and the ability to switch between graphics cards. I don't know where to install the necessary drivers to fix these things. Also, how do I add the thing that shows the volume bar when I adjust the sound.

I would really appreciate some links to either the sources, or other threads that address these issues.

    Please and and thank you

I would install ThinkVantage System Update 4 and let it find the drivers you are missing. All of the issues you are having should be fixed afterwards.

Really, the basic install takes about 1 hour max including all necessary drivers and Lenovo software.

The tricks are realted to bluetooh, PW Mgr., making sure you install the monitor file from Lenovo and not using the Windows suggested version, and maybe the video driver. And these are well documented by now so should not impede your desire nor confidence to do it.

FYI - To get the Trackpoint tab in the OS mouse properties dialog (where you can pick between their custom scroll instead of the default middle mouse buton behavior) I just installed the Trackpoint software as an optional update from Windows Update. I never had to install ThinkVantage for that.
