The recovery discs will format the drive. They are not a Windows disc. You can use the recovery discs for the first OS, then partition the drive to install the other OSes, but you'll need installation discs for the other OSes and it will probably mess with your ThinkVatange button if you care. I decided some time ago only one OS per machine. It's just too much work if you want to make changes. Maybe if it's your only box, but I got four.

I did this on my x200, but it required a lot of work.

You need to use the recovery DVD on a DIFFERENT HARD DRIVE (I used a 40GB drive pulled from my PS3). After you have it recovered on that drive, you can then use a program like Acronis or SelfImage to transfer that partition over to your main drive (have a preset space for it). You will then need to tweak your bootloader and possibly fix some problems in the OS as it is no longer the only OS on the drive (not too bad for Vista/Linux, but it was a nightmare for XP).

Therefore, the short answer is it's possible, but you probably don't want to do it (it took me about 2 days to get it to work right).
