Do you get some kind of an error message? What is it?
You are probably trying to install this package? http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-70001 -
When i try to install this driver package i have the error message:
driver not installed
i think because i don't have the turbo memory device in device manager.
I have also activate avci sata mode in bios, so i don't understand where is the problem. -
Have you installed Intel Matrix Storage Manager? Was that succesful?
-
Yes the Intel Matrix Storage Manager was succesful.
-
In the Clean Install Guide (also in these Lenovo forums) I read that the Turbo Memory driver also includes the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver. Also you should not install the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver separately if you want to install the Turbo Memory driver.
I do not know if this can cause a problem like you describe?
Maybe you should try uninstalling the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver and installing the Turbo Memory driver? -
The Matrix storage Manager driver was installed from the Turbo memory driver package i don't download it separately.
-
This might seem like a stupid question but are you sure your model includes the Turbo Memory option?
Also, could you check the device ID for that unknown device you have in Device Manager? Double click on the device (or right click and select Properties), then switch to the Details tab. From the Property drop-down select Hardware IDs. The hardware IDs for the device will be listed in the Value text area, below the drop-down. -
The problem is that i don't have a unknown device, but if there are turbo memory driver for sl500 why i can't install it and enable this feature?
-
If you don't have an unknown device (or the turbo memory showing up in device manager) your particular SL500 model doesn't come with the feature. It's an optional component (as well as coming as standard with some of the TopSeller models).
