This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     turning off services causing virtual memory error

    i have been turning off the same unnecessary services for years now in all my xp installations but when i turn them off on my t400 xp pro sp3 installation i get virtual memory errors. if i reformat and dont turn any of those services off i dont get any of those errors.

    any ideas on this?

    maybe if you specify the services and the errors, someone will be able to advise..?
