I just purchased an Ideapad 500. I watched a movie and noticed the image looked low-contrast and not enough color saturation. I went into the Intel Graphics Settings to try some experiments. None of the settings have any effect on either movies or still images. I can change a setting and hit "apply" and it pops up a message saying "your settings have been applied" but nothing changes. I can choose an obviously ridiculous setting like 100% saturation enhancement, and there is no effect. Then I can choose 0% saturation and there is no change.

Update intel graphics driver. Or check setting in that program what you using to play video.
