    It's a new x220i.
In a room with weak wifi signal (around 40%), my old T400 and my cell phone can connect to the network, but x220i has a trouble to detect the signal and let alone connect to it.
If it matters, I accidentally corrupt a DLL file related to the power management, and the x220i comes with the basic (non premium) 2x2 monitor.
I wonder what is the problem with the x220i and how to fix it. Thanks.

Go to windows own power manager. Under advanced settings you can change the power output for the wireless card. I did that and now I have better reception and better speed. (x220 + intel 6250)

I will check it out later. I think it is the default basic one.

Could you point me to how to check the exact adaptor model? The device manager shows it is a 1x1 11b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI Express Half Mini Card Adapter. And my OS is Win 7. Thanks.
