trying to purchase T43p or T60 through EPP

for about the same price im getting the following options. i could careless about hd and ram as i will try to get lowest possible configuration and upgrade later myself. also processor speed im looking at lowest possible speed in each respective notebook as 200mhz will not make any difference whether we talk about Pentium M or dual core.

    my dilemma:

-t43p comes with so much talked about uxga with flex view.

-t60 comes with dual core, which i may benefit from because i love to surf, have winamp running, maybe slight photoshop, messangers etc.

if i would get t60 it would come with 1400x1050 configuration.

so go for t43p's 15" uxgasm and solid performance or for t60's dual coreness and 667 fsb and an OK sxga?

like i said prices will be within $150 of one another so no problem in deciding there.

is 1600x1200 flex view that much better than 1400x1050? would appreciate feedback from people who have seen both, but any feedback will suffice really. im shopping for this d.amn thing 2 monts now.

    thank you

If the T60 is a 15" model it is flexview as well. If you have never seen UXGA on a 15" screen, I'd recommend it as some of the text will be very small. Personally I would opt for the T60.

I have a 1600x1200 flex view and my Latitude D610 is 1400x1050. I know it's not comparing apple's to apple's but I prefer the higher resolution. Regardless of screen type I would always recommend the higher resolution.

DAU model is 15" not a flex view. You wont see it on the site right now, as many models have been temp removed to restock. Actually a great deal,, I am getting on EPP. Web price is1799. I got it much less 15"XGA/1.83CentDuo/512/cdrw/dvd/finger/3yr
