i just received my thinkpad t500 today and i'm extremely happy with it :D

however i noticed that my battery model number doesn't quite match the one on lenovo's website: mine's is 42T4620 rather than the 40Y6797 on the website...the manufacturer is Panasonic

does anyone know what the rated battery life of this battery is and whether there are any issues with this battery?

Panasonic are supposed to be the best batteries. They hold their charge longer than Sanyo or Sony cells so rejoice.

My T40 Panasonic battery can still hold 95% charge after nearly 7 years of continous use... and my T500 Sony battery just died....... and all the battery recalls are on Sanyo and Sony batteries............
