hello,
In the advtg of this laptop (lenovo 3000 c200 8922-BXG), it says that it can support max 4 GB RAM, but when i tried install 2GB module of kingston DDR2 PC-4200 533. After rebooting it says that 'unsupported memory type'
I don't know which module to install. or shall I try 2GB DDR2 PC-5300 667Mhz.
Has anybody encountered/ can resolve this problem?
Also i tried to check my hardware setting using Pcwizard2008. There it say that max memory allowed is 3072KB. Below is the details.

You need the 5300 memory, not 4200.

Thanks for the reply,
Isn't PC4200 type of RAM would support on my motherboard as it is of less bandwidth, so it should have cope with it.
As maximum it can support is 'RAM max. Support : DDR2 (667 MHz) '
so anything lesser should be fine too
What you say? -
I would call up Lenovo and see what's up, the memory should be backwards compatible and downclock itself to 4200.
