Congratulations! Can you say what software you used to transfer the system and other info from the 128GB drive that came with the Yoga onto your new 512GB drive? For some reason, I've never been fully successful using Norton Ghost or any other imaging program. Any pointers, or was it straightforward? Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, I have used Macrium Reflect several times to clone a drive to a second drive. It has always worked with no problems. I always make an exact clone so that all partitions are the same size on the clone as on the original. Then I expand the OS partition to utilize all of the new drive capacity. Depending on the partition layout, some partitions may have to be relocated before the OS partition can be expanded. And I always do a sector by sector clone, so that even partitions with no apparent file system are cloned. I just used this procedure to upgrade a Yoga 11s Haswell from 4 GB to 8 GB ram and from 128 GB to 256 GB ssd. Everything works perfectly, even the Lenovo One Key Recovery system. I have also used the Paragon HD Manager successfully, although it makes a clone with the same HD signature, so the clone can't viewed on the same PC as the original drive. (You have to assume the clone is OK and go ahead and install it.)

    Good luck, Jim

Thanks Jim. I somehow missed notice of Macrium until today, but you are the second person who recommended it. Will get it for backup tomorrow. Do you use the free version? It seemed to be missing some important features vs. the paid versions. Best, Jeff

I used the free version for a while. It did everything I wanted. I thought it was so good that I bought the Premium version just to support the developers.

    Regard, Jim

The free version restores the partition images in the same size as they were before. So you cannot shrink a partition and restore a backup of that partition when it was bigger.

I was thinking of doing this with mine - do you have any recommendations as to what 512 gb hard drives I should look into?

Samsung has a nice mSATA 512GB as well as a 1TB mSATA drive.

Is it possible to install a 2nd SSD in the Yoga 2 Pro? mSATA and another slot?

    http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/lenovo_yoga_2_pro_hmm.pdf. Follow this manual.

Only one slot, you can find it in the manual.
