Are we talking about system ram, or a video card? The video card on the z61p is a V5200 fire GL with 256 megs of ram, and onboard the motherboard. Not-replaceable. The system ram which starts at 512MB is fully replaceable.

The motherboards are different. =/ That's usually the case with notebooks. If you have integrated graphics you are out of luck. Sometimes if you have a dedicated card and there are different choices of cards you can upgrade within the family. For example the e1505 comes with either the GMA950, x1300 or x1400. You can upgrade the x1300 to the x1400. If you need a video card, get it when you purchase the computer.
