    did you guys upgrade your RAM from single channel to dual channel?

    thinkpad x300 owner?

    stating ram config and size, and notebook is appreciated :)

    At the moment I still have single channel (2GB DDR3). However, I am considering upgrading to dual channel (2x2GB DDR3) as prices on DDR3 have finally dropped.

    I was hoping to run in mixed dual channel mode (1x2GB, 1x4GB), but 4GB DDR3 DIMMs are almost 10 times more expensive than 2GB DDR3 DIMMs.

    do you replace your screw? is it really a problem? do all thinkpad/lenovo/notebook, has similar screw system?

    You could just go to a hardware store too. But I usually don't have that much problem with screws...
