    curious if lenovo allows you to extend the warranty of a thinkpad after you purchase it.... anyone know?

    yes you can do it, even when your warranty expires (but that would cost more).

    within 90 days of purchase, you can still purchase the thinkpad protection warranty, which covers accidental protection (like dropping it, driving over it, or water related damage).
